In addition, it is always advisable to call the place where the incarcerated person is at in order to verify the address. It is also recommended to call the jail/prison because each location has their own rules on inmate mail. For example, some facilities only accept post cards and will return unauthorized forms of mail. Information such as addresses often change without notice.
